Birkegårdens Haver has in recent years expanded to include more and more activities for children, and children are rarely wants to go home. We have an animal pen with cute animals, three children playgrounds, campfire, mini golf and other games. And there are Halloween in the autumn holiday and activities for children at Christmas.

Animal pens are next to the nature playground, where children and adults can pet all the cute animals. There are donkeys, ponies, the deer Jane and Jane has finally got her sweet little deer calf! Then there are Gotland sheep, many mohair goats, including the three kid Gimme, Mads and Mikkel, and black pigs. We also have a rabbit cage – this used to be the small children's favorite place.

The natural playground is next to the animal pen and “Børnegården”. Here are different balance challenges as a large tree trunk which divides into three branches, a wooden hippopotamus, seesaw, swings and a fireplace. The are also tables, where you can eat your picnic.

Bonfire – it is allowed for adults to light the fire them self. On selected days as “children days” and at Halloween in the autumn holiday, there will be twistbread and pancake baking. There is also a rack for roasting sausages - bring our own sausages!

Børnegården (Children’s farm) is for the smaller children. It is a wooden farmhouse with three small houses. There are wooden animals, which they can move around and pretend is real animals. Each animal has a name and a little history. Børnegården is designed by Annette Andersen – click here!

Tumlegården (Tumble farm) is an indoor playground with straw hole, climbing wall, tractor tires swing, big climbing tree and something new - a tractor go-kart track and a little scooter track for the very young. Tumble farm is also used for activities in the autumn holiday, and the barn is at Christmas turned into a Christmas market with an area for children.

The Tower playground was an old playground with slides. The playground has been demolished for safety reasons and it is a little uncertain what it will be replaced by. Pt. there is a swing, a climbing stem, playground equipment, and many tables where you can eat your picnic. The area is right next to Tumlegården (Tumble farm).

There is only pony/donkey rides on select days, fx the day there are “children days“ (see below) and in the autumn holidays. But you may also be lucky on other days, but unfortunately nothing solid. Pony/donkey rides costs 20 DKK.

Mini golf course with 12 holes. It lies nex to the car park. Here are also a picnic area where grills are available. It only costs 10 DKK per club to use the golf course – you can rent clubs at the shop.

Other games – we got croquet with long shafts, ring games and King game – they can be rented for 10 and 20 DKK in the shop. The games can be played on the big lawn just inside the Japanese garden – near the golf course.
